Origin
Tarang was started by three preeminent technologists from Wipro and Hughes Software. Rama Kumar V, the CEO of Tarang, is one of the founders who had worked in Wipro earlier as the Chief Executive of E-Enabling Solutions Division.
The company has been funded by two leading US based Venture Capital firms - Global Internet Ventures and West Bridge Capital Partners.
In 2001, Tarang acquired Cyber Cash India from Verisign Inc. and enhanced its portfolio of payment offerings. Since then, Tarang has cultivated a wealth of knowledge and expertise in payments and financial services worldwide.

Tarang forayed into eLearning in 2002, which comprised both content and technology services. Today, Tarang boasts of a proficient content team that includes Content Developers, Instructional Designers, and Graphic Designers. Tarang's eLearning projects cater to clients in K-12, automotive, financial and technology verticals.
