1.Find the next number in the series:0,1,5,14,30,55,91,140,…. 2.( I do not remember the exact wordings, but it goes as follows)A woman says to her husband that she bought two types of drapery for the curtains; some yards of each material. Also, the total cost is less than 10 dollars and the price she paid for one type is 2dollars 15 cents more than the other.Find the price of each material per yard and the number of yards of each type. 3.There are two towers, the cathedral tower which is 200 feet tall and the church tower which is 150 feet tall. The are two birds perched on the top of each of these two towers. There is a piece of grain on the ground between the towers and the birds start at the same time and reach the grain simultaneously. How far is the grain from the foot of the Cathedral tower if the distance between the two towers is 250 feet? 4.(This one from Shakuntala Devi) There is a five digit number and then the various relations between digits were given. Find the number. Ans is 86421 if I remember correctly. 5.The number of locks and keys required so that of three people noone alone can access the room alone. 6.There is a group in which they have one chief and 9 graduates. Each graduate by himself produces 15 sets per day. The number of sets the chief produces per day is 9 more than the average of all ten combined. How many sets do the produce overall in a day? 7.There are two traders of wine in France who have to enter Paris( I guess this was how it was stated). The first merchant has 64 barrels of wine and the second has 20 barrels of wine. They have to pay a duty before entering Paris. Now the first trader pays 40 francs and 5 barrels of wine and the second gives 2 barrels and receives 40 francs back. What is the cost of each barrel and the duty on each barrel? 8.There are two barbers who can each cut hair in 15 mins and shave a customer in 5 mins. They are both in a hurry to leave and they have three customers whom they have to shave and cut hair of. What is the earliest time they can leave in? 9.Two analytical games of which I cannot recollect everything. I'm not stating nething coz it may lead to confusion. 10.A man starts from home with some amount of money in his pocket. He spends 10% of it when he buys something. The next time he buys something, he again spends 10% of what is left in his pocket. The remaning money gets stolen and he finds that he has made purchase worth Rs.19. How much money did he start with when he left home?
