(not exactely the same.a model)
Total number of students appeared for the test 500
2 passed in maths
6 passed in english
48 passed in social science
4 failed in english
120 failed in maths
7)no of people failed totally
8)no of people attended the test
Questions from allegation and mixture, boats and streams, geometry
(square,rectangle.simple ones),clock,lines and
angles(q's like.find the missing angle.easy ones) were asked.
That's it friends. This is all i remember.Overall the paper was
easy.time is an important factor.
math section takes more time than logical so adjust your timing
accordingly.both the papers will be given
at the same time it's our choice to start with anysection. There seems
to be atlest three different sets of qpapers.
Quantitative aptitude by R.S.Aggarwal for aptitide,Barrons GRE or MBA
preparation material by R.S.Aggarwal for
Geometry are good to follow.
I did not clear the test, coz i did not get enough time to attempt
many q's in the math section.
My friend balaji cleard the test,he did 21 and 23 q's in each
section.Out of 4000 people appeared for the written test
600 were taken for the GD out of which around 60 were taken for the
interview.
Here is the info for GD:
Group Discussion:
There were 10 members in each group.
1,2 or 3 were selected from each group.sometimes not even one was
selected.
GD topic was "should beauty contest be banned in India".
Initially i spoke in favour of the beauty contest some colleges
against it.After some time
we were asked, like those who spoke in favour of beauty contest were
asked to speak against it and vice versa.
only one was selected in our group.i did well but i don't know why i
got missed out.
They look for good communication skill, how we work in a group and
also how good points we putforth.
MODEL PAPER - 2
The test pattern goes like this.....
2 sections, logical and quant, each section carrying 30
questions.
correct answer fetches you +1 and a wrong , -1/2.
The cut-off for both the sections is 12 in each
section.
logical is pretty easy and u can answer around 15-18
Qs easily...
but then, take care of the time factor, quant s a bit
tough....
be good at formulas...it will really help u a lot....
btw, the time for the test is 60 mins.
after the test, follows the GD....
this is really imp 'coz most of the screening takes
plae at this round itself( abt 1/6 are selected)....
final stage is the interview. i have given my
interview today and they said that the results would
be out by next wednesday....
all the best for all u guys out there who r going for
it....
The pattern is as follows:
It has 2 sections - Reasoning & Maths (Both Pure & Quant) with 1/2 mark (-)ve marking, duration of
the paper is 60min (But is definetely a factor)
1) Reasoning --> It had 30 Q's ... & the cut off is 12 marks
They had covered almost every topic of reasoning ... specially from the book "Verbal Reasoning"
by R.S.Agarwal ... I cud find many Q's from that book ... some of them are ...
a) They give a big series of letters viz. DOQOOQPOQ ... & ask how many O's are there in this
series which are immediately followed by Q's but not immediately preceded by D. The Question
might look simple ... but when u start observing the series ... it deos strain ur eyes ...
b) 4 people A,B,C,D stand at the corners of a square ... they start moving in a clock-wise direction.
They stop when they cover 4 sides (its not clear whether ... each covers 4 sides or on the whole
they cover 4 sides) ... which of the following is true ... & they give choices abt the directions of them
... viz. B is west of A ... etc ...
c) 2 questions on relationships ... viz. B is the son of C but C is not the mother of B ... so on ... its
answer is "Uncle" ... better read the Q completely & then answer ...
d) alpahabet series ... abaa_ _abbbaa_ _ _ aaa ... so on ...
e) A word is coded using some logic ... & he asked How'ld the PLEASE be written in the same
language.
f) 2Q's on Data Sufficeincy
g) 2Q's on Statements & Conclusions ... they give 2 statements ... viz. Some cats are black &
Some black are good ... its followed by 4 conclusions ... & u hv to select which one is true ... so u
hv check out whether those statements are Universal Affirmative, etc ... well both are Particular
Affirmative ... & u need to deduce the Conclusions based on some rules (which are clearly
mentioned in RS Agarwal) ...
h) No Synonyms & Antinyms ...
