Introduction:
Monitor is one of the youngest strategy consulting firm around but that has not deterred the firm from earning a place at the table with the likes of Mckinsey and BCG. The firm has pursued top level strategy assignment for Fortune 500 clients. The firm has experienced exponential growth since its foundation in 1983 by HBS Professor Mark Fuller, his brother Joe, and five other B-school grads. The firm now boasts of 850 consultants in 25 offices around the world. The human asset profile of Monitor is diverse and changing. Roughly 50 percent of the people now joining the firm's consulting staff, for example, are undergraduates; only 25 percent have MBAs; and the remaining 25 percent come from non-traditional backgrounds -- among them, a growing number of PhDs
