Founded in 1975 by Paul Allen and Bill Gates, Microsoft is the biggest software publisher for personal and business computing in the world. During March 2006, the company reclassified its business and began operating through three segments, namely, Mobile devices, Networks and Enterprise Business, and the Connected Home Solutions. The company caters to the automotive industry through its Network and Enterprise Business segment and provides products, such as navigation systems and telematics. During the year ended December 31, 2005 (fiscal 2005), Motorola posted net sales of US$36,843 million, an increase of 17.6% over the previous fiscal.
