Founded in 1975 by Paul Allen and Bill Gates, Microsoft is the biggest software publisher for personal and business computing in the world. Since its inception Microsoft has quickly expanded into all computer-related sectors with products ranging from omnipresent apps like Windows, Microsoft Word and Excel to popular games like MechWarrior, Age of Empires and Flight Simulator. With the March 2000 announcement of the Xbox, Microsoft is now also set to take on the likes of Sony, Nintendo and Sega in the console hardware and software business. Microsoft has offices in more than 50 countries and currently employs a staff of almost 40,000 people.

On 07-Mar-2006, the Group acquired Apptimum Inc and the assets of Onfolio Inc.

Headquartered at Schaumburg, Illinois, US, Motorola Inc is one of the leaders in broadband, embedded electronic products, automotive communications and wireless technologies. During March 2006, the company reclassified its business and began operating through three segments, namely, Mobile devices, Networks and Enterprise Business, and the Connected Home Solutions. The company caters to the automotive industry through its Network and Enterprise Business segment and provides products, such as navigation systems and telematics. During the year ended December 31, 2005 (fiscal 2005), Motorola posted net sales of US$36,843 million, an increase of 17.6% over the previous fiscal.
